I was born with no arms, half legs, and rely on a wheelchair to get around – in other words, I’m fully equipped for a life that’s anything but ordinary. The CDC estimates about 1,900 of the 3.6 million babies born in the United States each year are born with either upper or lower limb differences, with even fewer experiencing both.
Every task I tackle, I must approach with creativity and ingenuity, often in ways that most people have never seen before. My unique perspective on life gives me insights that are truly one-of-a-kind, offering a view of the world that few others will ever experience.
While I may look different and complete tasks in unique ways, I find that I can always relate to those around me. Whether it’s through humor, shared struggles, or moments of joy, I meet people where they are and build genuine connections. After all, a little creativity and a good laugh go a long way in bridging any gap!
I find inspiration in the difficulty of participating in a variety of activities that challenge the expectations of those around me and push my boundaries. From horseback riding to rappelling in my wheelchair. From creating art to playing video games. Whether it's the thrill of archery, the joy of playing music, or the profound experiences of getting married and having a child. Each moment fuels my drive to embrace life with passion and creativity. These experiences remind me that there are no limits to what can be achieved, only new ways to approach the world and I aim to share that with you.
